THIS LAW POSES FRESH CHALLENGES FOR THE 2,800-PLUS UNHOUSED PERSONS IN BROWARD COUNTY AS WELL AS FOR THE BROWARD SHERIFFS OFFICE (BSO) AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS. TO MEET THESE CHALLENGES HEAD-ON, BSO WILL USE FY24 MICROGRANTS FUNDING TO BOLSTER SUPPORT, PARTICULARLY DURING NON-TRADITIONAL HOURS, FOR THIS UNDERSERVED POPULATION THROUGH THE UTILIZATION OF APPROXIMATELY 1,075 OVERTIME OUTREACH HOURS.
